Named in tribute to the 3rd Infantry Division stationed at nearby Ft. Stewart, which is proudly the largest Army base on the east coast. Their courage in World War II when they held their position when other Divisions retreated. The left side is dotted with deep sand traps. Yet, a left of center drive leaves a low-iron approach into a wide green. A right of center drive leaves a blind approach shot behind a large bunker. Avoid over shooting the green which is surrounded to the rear by thick rough bunkers.
